The proposed Taiko Club
I know I'm being lame but yea, this is truly a way which we can promote this and also, to have more communication with each other. K, here is the plan.
We can perhaps nominate a leader and their roles in this club.
For example...
Chairman (woman): Yuu
Vice-chairman: BLYX
Tresurer: Yue
Regular member: LjSJacK
We will also need a taiko-tee which can tell the rest of the world who we are and that there are enthusiasts in this form of game.
However, we need some requirements for the people to join this club or it'll be damn stupid having some people who totally cannot play Taiko no Tatsujin to join this club.
For example:
-Only people who can play Muzukashi 5 Star can join
-People who frequent the Taiko no Tatsujin Machine (AT LEAST once a month)
-Friendly people
-People who joined this forum
-ETC...

They must lastly, promote the game to people who are newbies or are trying out this game.

Say, i don't agree with your:
"it'll be damn stupid having some people who totally cannot play Taiko no Tatsujin to join this club.
For example:
-Only people who can play Muzukashi 5 Star can join
-People who frequent the Taiko no Tatsujin Machine (AT LEAST once a month)"
A club is for ANYONE to join, regardless of can play muzukashii or not.
As long as they really love taiko no tatsujin game, i don't care if they can play muzukashii 5* and above.
People may really like Taiko no Tatsujin for various reasons but may not be able to play the muzukashii mode.
And for people who are working, they may love taiko too but unable to frequent arcade due to work constrains.
Your club idea is great, but i think this forum is enough, for now.
=)

That is only your assumption.
People may simply enjoy the characters in the game, wanting their plushies, collect their songs etc, but not able to play muzukashii level.
They like Taiko no Tatsujin too, but in their own ways.
Unless you put the club as "Taiko-ing die-hard fan club" with fine print: who can play muzukahii and above" ?? LOLZ~

Re: The proposed Taiko Club
actually..... jack has an idea...
we can work like a fanclub or FC for short.
all it takes is people who likes taiko, regardless of standard.
(thats how idol fanclubs work. u like the artiste enough, join the fanclub as support)
well, we can set it to be like...
to be an official member, pay $25 per yr..
then u'll get a FC tee
and the xtra money can go to funding our forum
and maybe for competitions/prizes here n there
the purpose of the FC is to gather taiko lovers tgt
and we can have outings while wearing our tee to promote
and those ppl hu loves taiko and wants to improve but find it hard...
wel if they join us, we can teach them
kinda like how yuu taught me
(aww u know the idea =D)
well, to me this idea is workable.
as long as you dont set a standard for the people who wanna join
and its a good motivation to roll out some taiko tees!
wadcha say?

Lolz, but who is gonna justify who is gonna be holding what post?
Running a club is not easy, you know? Especially when you need to collect fees from members.
And how to put in the trust to members that we will not "eat" their money if we were to collect fees??

posts wise,
well we can decide on that if we really want a taiko club.
president
vice president
treasurer
if the club is small, those 3 posts wld suffice for now
but we can expand it anytime
as for funding...
fees wise...
well, what is usually done is,
there's an official logbook kept by the treasurer
and whatever fees we collect, we need to issue a receipt for proof
this is to give ppl security that we wun eat their money
anyway, the fees r mainly to cover the club tee.
that needs money u know
and maybe membership cards to make it more official

Re: The proposed Taiko Club
Treasurer wise, i believe people will give more trust if only that person is 21 and above + good money sense. Considering there might be more mature people joining.
And i'm NOT gonna be the treasurer since i have not much money sense at all. Yue should know right?? xD

Re: The proposed Taiko Club
trust is a major problem here. Especially when it comes to money.. and the point about BEING ABLE to pass muzukashi 5*s and above, it's really hard to decide if you should really have this. Cuz' if you dont, the jp girl can just come and join, but if you do, it might be unfair to those taiko-lovers out there who cant pass muzukashi 5*, similarily to this forum which caters to all regardless of your level.
All that i agree with would be the t-shirt part that one can be implemented its not hard or anything. however the rest might be a little too hard for current conditions. plus we aren't a huge organization or something yet. so that can wait.

well yea true. u cant stop anyone from joining.
but wld she have the money? hahaha
anyway, this whole taiko club is just an idea.
we can always start an informal one first
just for ourselves
just for the fun of it
then we decide if we wanna let others in
thats also a way out arh.

club wise can wait. One thing by one thing first.

Hey if I had a (gaming) club you'd be lucky if I let you join without being able to pass 7* Oni >=|
5* Musakashi is accessible to mostly anyone if they play the game for a bit.
The arcade thing IS ridiculous though. The machines just don't exist in my country, it's thanks to my sis that I have the DS games! It's not my fault if I can't "frequent an arcade machine."

yes i agree with you that 5* muzu is accessible to most after sometime and precisely because its sometime, it shows that those people need to play the game for sometime hee =P.
