Songs you would like to see in Taiko! :D

I like the rhythm of 王力宏's new song, <<摇滚怎么了>> ("What Happened to Rock"). Listen to it and you'll understand why!

Lolz, i'll love to see more classical genre of songs in taiko. Including song nice chinese orchestra songs.

Namco songs which combined western orchestra and chinese orchestra types should have more!! =D

How should i go about doing the rhythm? I mean if i have a set of rhythm in mind, How can i put it out accordingly?

It's not easy to lay out the rhythm, because there are some songs with "irregular" beats, which makes it hard to actually simulate, unless you divide each section (not sure what you call that, 4-beat 4-beat...) into very fine divisions?

Normal beats are those 4/4, which is known as "common time".
"Cut time", means 2/4 which is 2 beats in a bar count of 4 [bar=measure]
3/4 = 3 beats in a measure.

Those 4/4, 2/4, 3/4, 6/8 etc are "Time signatures"
"Irregular beats" can be worse than some of the weird time signatures like 16/8

Don't worry, can ask gepi since he finished piano grade 8.

so yeah, it's actually not that easy to put in the rhythm because i think sometimes it's either you get it or you don't.

its not perfect, but it makes me wonder if its that hard

i mean, my rhythm is like a string of taiko notes

For me when i wanna improvise it, i do put kat don etc in the middle of the notes. When listening to songs i like to hear in taiko, same too. xD

Jeez, I missed a lot of posts in this topic....
First off, making rhythms with the simulator isn't that difficult. What is difficult is determining what the tempo (BMP) is at each section of the song, there are ways to do it, but if you have a live song or something, the tempo can be all over the place.

But after you've figured out the tempo, the rest is pretty easy. Within the interface, you can divide up measures into 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, etc notes. There will always be 4 beats per measure, but you can slice the measure into as many notes as you wish. So if the rhythm can be written on paper, then you can make it very precise in the game.

Yuu, I love that Chocobo orchestrated song! I can just imagine hitting the taiko drum to the percussion stuff in the song, OMG sounds fun.

I am really looking forward to releasing Taiko Sim so you guys can make rhythms and share them and stuff. ^_^

Cos' i've made drummania sim file song before but gave up halfway cos' too time consuming to do all the hi-hat, snare, 2 toms and cymbals parts.. haha.. xD

More classic songs... They are wickedly difficult to play compared to the 2000 series oni.
