If only I can hear a live version of these, with three drummers playing on three drums...OMG!

muahaha, i have a chinese orchestra with 2 drums.. those 18inch 花盆鼓, slightly wider than our arcade machine. We have other smaller drums too.

I don't think you can memorize everything? If musicians can have scores, why not drummers?

My "memorizing everything" means the parts you're gonna play. As in the whole song in the 炎 or 水 or 風.
If not memorize, the only thing available will be the beatmaps.
Music played by PA system, drums played by humans. Lolz~
And besides, drummers or not, in my orchestra, when you're the main instrument in front of the performing stage with the rest behind you, you need to memorize your scores. Can't run away from that. xD

I can memorize if the rest playing with me is memorizing. =D

My two-cents' worth on the idea I brought up.

I'm sure almost all of us can play the song, but that is possible only because we play with the real piece playing, so we are able to sort of link the beatmap to the rhythm.

太鼓乱舞 is purely drums, no background music. Imagine playing this with a real drum, and not on the arcade machine; if you miss a hit, it will be glaringly obvious, and even more so if you mishit. Now imagine three drummers.

I think it takes an experienced drummer to be able to get the BPM spot on, and an incredible amount of practice for three drummers to do that AND make everything sound coherent.

So unless some group (like perhaps Hiroshi Motofuji and his taiko group) takes this seriously, I guess we won't be able to see something like that. Until then, I'll just content myself with this video.

What i'm referring to "Music" will be the one you're hearing in the song itself, which is what you said as the "purely drums" part with other percussion instruments such as the gong, jazz set tomtom etc, and some voices. Lolz~

I'm not sure about the rest but for me, any person who plays taiko in arcade and has a certain amount of experience in orchestra or symphonic band will be able to do so for this piece with not much a problem at all.
It's more of like having 默契和配合 对方 to make it as a whole piece.

Come to think about it.. Ya, the arcade does have all those 3 versions in one song, depending you do drum roll in the beginning or not.
